30 x 30 University Sites

The “30 by 30” biodiversity initiative is a global commitment to protect 30% of the planet's land, freshwater and oceans by 2030. In line with this, the Welsh Government has committed to protecting 30% of land, freshwater, and seas in Wales by 2030 as part of the , which is backed by Wildlife Trusts Wales.

18ËêÑÇÖÞÎçÒ¹¸£Àû has also committed to this effort by setting a goal to establish 30 designated sites across its estate by 2030, managing them to maximise benefits for wildlife. New management practices are being established for these sites to enhance existing habitats, and to create new ones, with the intension of boosting biodiversity and the abundance of native plant, animal, and fungi species.
